Maybelline Dream Matte mousse foundation

Posted

So its true Maybelline Dream Matte mousse as finally be discontinued, I can't quite believe it, it is like losing an old friend, I've been wondering around in the wilderness for the past few months, trying to find my beloved Maybelline dream matt mousse, I finally found a website that has my shade in stock WWW.HAIR2BUY.CO.UK I was elated, because I’ve tried dozens of foundations over the years and I kept going back to this because it was so versatile and natural looking. Never creased, blended beautifully, was easy to apply, and always stayed on looking smooth.

Maybelline Dream Matte Mousse Foundation. Like it is a wonderful matte but not too dry foundation, the mousse can be applied with clean fingertips as it spreads so easily thanks to its inbuilt primer, and before it sets softly on your skin you can even spread another layer on top to the areas that need it.

I would advise that you clean your skin beforehand, tone and apply a very light moisture (if you have oily skin, us a thick one if your skin is dry), then apply your mousse foundation area by area. I always start my forehead, under my eyes, then nose, cheeks, on top of lips and finally my chin - a little goes a long way.

If you want to apply colour onto your lids, I suggest that before the Maybelline mousse foundation sets you use a cream eyeshadow and a cream blusher (or you can dab a bit of blusher onto your eyelid and skip the cream eyeshadow for a more natural look).

I take no more than 5-6 minutes to put on my makeup: the mousse foundation, cream eyeshadow, and cream blusher, and finally my mascara and lipstick, and plenty of times I just wear the foundation all over (I dab a bit on the rim of my eye too, where you would normally put kohl), black eye mascara (two layers) and lipstick, and this would only take 3 minutes. Then I'll brush my eyebrows and am ready to go.

No makeup sponges or applicators are needed, just clean fingers! I am very fair-skinned so in the winter I wear Maybelline Light Porcelain and in summer I use Maybelline Matt Ivory. I have sensitive but oily skin, hence why I use a very light moisturiser before applying the foundation, although sometimes right after I have cleansed my skin and toned it, I have put on the Maybelline matt mousse foundation directly and I've had no issues

So wouldn't it be wonderful if Maybelline decided to bring back this foundation? we did contact Maybelline for a comment but at the time of writing this article, we had no reply. We do know that there are other foundations out there, even ones made by Maybelline, so maybe we can seek out an alternative so for now we have to say au revoir my old friend, and keep our fingers crossed that Maybelline does the right thing and reinstates this wonderful product
